It's all about balance, or it is it?

I've been recording words that I hear in my mind as I wake from a dream:

"Share with the world what you know..."

was one of the messages, so I decided to create this blog to do just that...

I have recorded thousands of short messages which have pointed me to novels, musical songs, treatises on philosophy, scientific findings, and both normal and prophetic religious works, and I've come to two conclusions:

Conclusion 1:
Some type of massive change is coming soon, it will be world-wide in scope and will most likely be the end of our way of life as we currently know it.

Conclusion 2:
There is a common thread to science, religion, philosophy and life in general that has been mostly ignored by modern society. The thread I'm writing of is balance, or striving to be in the middle of two extremes. The idea of balance is prevalent throughout our world; our concepts of fairness and justice are based on it. The concept of balance is readily apparent in the Asian philosophy of "Yin and Yang", and in Buddhism it is known as the "Middle Way" to enlightenment.  In Christianity we can see it reflected in the "Golden Rule", i.e. "Love your neighbor as yourself."  And in science one of the ways it is expressed is Wave-Particle duality, meaning that all particles exhibit both wave and particle properties.

Think about it...
How can we know happiness if we don't know sadness? How can we appreciate the day if we don't experience the night, and vice-versa? Neither extreme is more important than the other and the balance between them is the acceptance that both are equal. Unfortunately in modern society it seems that we've become hooked on belonging to one side or the other and that compromise has become a word for weakness.

Balance is just another word for love, is not love the coming together of opposites, each seeing the other as an equal?

Even the way in which these messages are communicated to me reinforce their theme, meaning I'm half-awake and half-dreaming, and the messages themselves are like riddles, they rarely state anything unequivocally, they tend to be "vague" which is right in the middle of being true or false.

The sky is falling?
So what does balance have to do with a coming massive change? Here's my opinion, nature shows us that all things happen in cycles, I believe the coming change is a cyclical event, it has happened before and should be thought of as a natural balancing process, just like birth and death. It may be the end of human society as we know it but an end always creates a new beginning, you can't have one without the other, and I believe that is why many religions speak of a Utopian society that comes into being sometime after the end. Perhaps with each cyclical event something (us, the planet, maybe both) has evolved in some way such that this time we will finally moderate ourselves and live "in balance" with all that is around us, and in us.

Should you prepare for the coming change? This will be a question I will let you answer for yourself, my only recommendation is that you begin to rely on your gut feelings as much as you rely on the active thoughts of your mind. You may also want to try writing down any words you may hear as you wake from a dream, they may provide guidance for you.

I'll finish this post with a message that I received that I think sums up things nicely:
"Let our minds and our hearts work together to unite in abundance." heard on February 5th, 2011.
